January Holiday Programme-Nelson Intermediate

STEAMS is an integrated approach to learning topics of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths, and Society that fosters critical thinking, problem solving, communication and collaboration. Its aim is to teach real world skills through engaging methods whilst allowing individuals to be creative. 

STEAMS Holiday programmes follow the same principles.

Nelson Intermediate- 20-22 Jan and 23-24 Jan

This holiday programme will be designed around the theme of OCEAN and BOATS! 

Participants will spend their time in Art and Engineering learning about buoyancy, density, design, and electronics while the Cooking and Science will also learn about buoyancy and density as related to cooking while creating lots of Ocean themed food! The last day EVERYONE will come together to design and build a cardboard boat! This programme may involve getting wet and/or falling into the NIS pool!

Monday/Tuesday-Art and Enginnering or Cooking. Wednesday all doing boat challenge.

Thursday-Art and Engineering or Cooking. Friday all doing boat challenge.
