Jar Wars 2026
Description
Welcome to "Jar Wars" – Community Banking in Action!
Join Bendigo Community Bank (Wallan, Kilmore, Broadford) for our flagship October "Jar Wars" Community Grants Night—where our local community directly decides how $60,000 in grant funding is distributed!
We created Jar Wars to uncover and champion BIG ideas: visionary, high-impact projects designed to make a long-lasting difference across Wallan, Kilmore, Broadford, and surrounding districts. From environmental sustainability and volunteer care networks to youth wellbeing, sports inclusion, and community infrastructure, our shortlisted finalists will take the stage to pitch their visions for our region.
The best part? You hold the voting power.
Every guest receives an official voting token at the door. After hearing the short live pitches from each group, you get to drop your tokens directly into the voting jars of the initiatives that inspire you most.
Every pitching finalist is guaranteed a baseline share of funding, so no group goes home empty-handed!
Come along, cheer on our passionate local volunteer champions, enjoy complimentary canapes and drinks, and experience firsthand how simply banking locally reinvests substantial profits right back into our community.
