Review of Peace River by Don Watson...

" In Peace River, Jason Khaw demonstrates his songwriting prowess... "

Review of Freedom Badge by Dino Di Muro...

"..he’s clearly a talented wordsmith just based on this first track......there’s a lot to enjoy here from a highly talented player..."

Jason Khaw, Melbourne-based singer/songwriter, with Phil Sheppard (acoustic bass / viola), will perform Jason's original songs at the warm and friendly neighbourhood cafe - Granger Cafe in Caulfield East. This gig follows their recent successful gig at Burke & Wills Winery Music Festival where they were picked to receive a sponsorship by the Troubadour Foundation for Jason's next album.

Their live performance is laced with interesting back-stage stories, funny anecdotes and sobering realisations. The acoustic-based music can be described as a combination of contemporary folk, jazz and blues. They will occupy the next room at the ever-friendly Granger Cafe, known for their rich barista coffee and wholesome yet adventurous menu (you have to try their crab meat scramble!) . It is an intimate space with limited seating, so book your tickets early.  Two types of tickets are on offer. Concert only ticket :$18+bf (but you can still get order food and drinks separately from the cafe) ; and Concert, dessert/sweets and coffee ticket : $30+bf (a preselected dessert/ sweets and your choice of coffee or alternative).
