Duration: 1.5 hours from 6:30-8 p.m.
Cost: $35 per class
Schedule: First session – November 24th, then monthly

Join us for an interactive, groove-driven Jazz & Funk Jam + Improv Workshop at iAM MUSIC! This monthly session is designed to help musicians explore the art of improvisation, deepen their understanding of groove, and gain confidence playing in collaborative jam settings.

Led by iAM MUSIC Co-Founder and professional bassist Jesse Ogle, with support from iAM MUSIC Faculty, the workshop will explore:

• Essential scales and modes for improvisation

• Groove concepts and rhythm section communication

• Basic music theory applied to jazz and funk styles

• Lots of playing, listening, and group interaction

This 1.5-hour class provides the tools and experience to confidently join local jazz and funk jam sessions around town.

All instruments are welcome!
The workshop is open to all skill levels, though participants should have a basic understanding of their instrument and some experience playing in group or jam settings.
