    MORE ABOUT OUR ARTIST

    Matthew Teakle
Matthew is an enthusiastic young guitarist based in Brisbane; he realised his love of guitar music at the age of nine when his father showed him the music of Led Zeppelin and Guns n’ Roses. Since then, he has become highly regarded for his versatility, performing regularly in a variety of ensembles and genres ranging from jazz, rock, and funk, to experimental classical music.

Matthew recently graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium with first class honours and the University Medal, in his time there he was mentored by renowned performers Jose McLaughlin, Karin Schaupp, and Steve Newcomb. Presently, he maintains an active career as a sideman on the Brisbane music scene and performs as the principal guitarist in the Queensland Jazz Orchestra. Matthew’s guitar playing has been broadcast nationally by the ABC and 4ZZZ, he has had the honour of performing as a featured soloist with the Queensland Wind Orchestra and enjoys playing the cello for leisure in the Queensland Youth Symphony.

    Beth FoaD

Beth has been a thriving performer from a very early age, with her passion for the stage beginning through dance and blossoming through music. Graduating from the Queensland Griffith Conservatorium of Music in 2021 with a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Jazz Voice), Beth has spent the last 6 years honing her skills under the mentorship of Australia’s finest vocalists and has performed in venues all over Brisbane and Ipswich, as well as Far North Queensland with the Queensland Youth Orchestra Big Band. Beth has a passion for teaching and has just completed her Master of Music Studies Specialising in Vocal Pedagogy.
