Photo Montage
Discover the magic of visual storytelling, without the need to draw! Inspired by James Tylor and Carrolup artworks, this is a journey in self-expression.
With the help of John Curtin Gallery’s talented art educator explore the world of visual storytelling through Photomontage. A creative technique which uses composite images, disparate photographs, pre-made images and found material, to take viewers on a visually stunning journey. This interesting technique is inspired by James Tylor's powerful exhibition of photographic landscapes and cultural objects “Turrangka… in the shadows’.
Led by the Gallery's Education Coordinator, Neeti Sethi, this unique experience invites children to undertake a journey of personal expression and have fun observing art while crafting their own special story. This creative exploration is not only inspired by the art they see, but the environment, personal narratives and Carrolup artworks.
Material is provided, but participants are encouraged to bring up to two old photographs to add to their story.
