JCI Australia Debating & Public Speaking Training

JCI Australia’s Debating & Public Speaking Training Program offers individuals a unique opportunity in Australia’s debating and public speaking calendar.

Debating and Public Speaking give people the opportunity to find and develop their voice, develop their communication, and present ideas as they think quickly, work as a team and develop persuasive arguments and presentations.

JCI Australia’s Debating & Public Speaking Training Program creates a unique opportunity for YOU to build relationships with your peers.

Drawing people from all walks of life across Australia, JCI Australia’s Debating & Public Speaking Training Program will run across 2 months. Opportunities will include learning about debating and public speaking, team work, building a network and developing friendships with people they may not ordinarily have the chance to meet.

Our Debating & Public Speaking Training Program is an important opportunity to benefit from specialist coaching.

The Training Program: 

From 28 July 2022 to 15 September 2022, the Training Program will occur by Zoom on each Thursday evening, between 8:00pm and 9:30pm (Sydney Time).

• Session 1: 28 July 2022 - - Class is Open! Come along and meet everyone who will enjoy our training with you!
• Session 2: 4 August 2922 - - “Introduction to JCI Debating & Public Speaking”.
• Session 3: 11 August 2022 - - Meet Rolf Fuch of Fox Coaching, who will deliver training on "Persuasive Speaking".
• Session 4: 18 August 2022 - - Meet Marie Russo, who will deliver training "Speech and Case Structures".
• Session 5: 25 August 2022 - - Meet Jay Johnson, who will deliver training on "Developing Arguments, Rebuttals, and POIs".
• Session 6: 1 September 2022 - - Implement some of the learning in some healthy competition. Today's session is all about a Mock Public Speaking Competition and a Mock Debating Competition. 
• Session 7: 15 September 2022 - - Final session! Get feedback from the judges of our Mock Debate and Public Speaking.
