    Event description

    Who Are JCI?

There are critical challenges in the world and young people play a significant role in addressing them – both now and in the future.

JCI Sydney is a group of young leaders, aged 18-40, from different backgrounds, cultures and professions, who want to tackle these challenges head on.

For over 100 years, JCI members around the world have acted on one shared belief – the improvement of our society and environment is paramount, not just for us but also for future generations.

    Areas Of Opportunity

JCI is all about learning by doing and taking action in a safe and supported environment. We empower young leaders with the skills they need to make positive change!

JCI’s 4 areas of development opportunities – community, individual, business and international – provide our members with endless opportunities to try new things and gain new skills.

Becoming a member allows you to learn in our monthly development events, gain real experience and build skills through co-ordinating or assisting with events or projects, and network with a community of passionate, driven people!

    What Projects Do You Do?

JCI members are taking action to improve our local communities. Together with our partners, JCI members deliver grassroots initiatives to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

We have a range of projects and events each year including:

    • Empower You - mentoring program that connects members with industry leaders
    • World Cleanup Day - cleaning up a local Sydney area and promoting positive sustainable practices in our community
    • Walk to Cambodia - fundraising for the Human and Hope Association to deliver education to children who need it most
    • Standing Against Modern Slavery - series of workshops to educate and equip the community with ways to understand how modern slavery takes place
    • Monthly development events and workshops - grow your skills and network with passionate peiople
    • Monthly online training - official JCI courses to up-skill you in key areas
    • 2 national conferences - full weekends of workshops and networking with JCI members from around Australia

We also support any members with an idea for a project with resources and guidance to make it happen!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Josh Stephens (jcisydneypresident@jciaustralia.org.au), our local chapter president so we can chat more about how JCI Sydney can help you develop, grow and give back to the community.

If you are ready to become a member, please select the appropriate membership type and we'll be in touch within 48 hours to connect you in with the community and upcoming events!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
