    Event description

Please join us to reflect on and celebrate the life of Jean McAlister on Friday 28th June 2024  at Galahad's Sanctuary - 166 Mt Gisborne Road, Gisborne.

Feel free to come for a welcome drink at 12:30pm before the ceremony begins at 1:00pm sharp.  A wake with refreshments will follow immediately afterwards.

Please RSVP as soon as possible  to assist with logistics and seating plans. It really helps us if you could RSVP.

If you can't join us in person, or feel unwell, please join us instead on the livestream link below:

If you’re able, we invite you to bring a plate of vegan food to share. We ask that the food is 100% vegan, room-temperature friendly (no reheating required), and able to be easily eaten while standing around (no soups, salads or main course meals). If you are able to include a label with the ingredients listed, that would be amazing.

    Logistics

This is going to be a largely outdoor event, and space will be at a premium. If you are able to bring a camp chair to sit on, it would be greatly appreciated, and we recommend rugging up with hats, scarves, coats, warm footwear, and so on. There will be some chairs available and inside space during the wake.

If you are able to carpool that would be most helpful as parking is limited. If you have a 4WD there are places to park, and we have asked you indicate on the booking if you have a 4WD. We will likely send more information regarding parking prior to the day.
