Join Richard Glover in conversation with acclaimed music biographer, Jeff Apter, to reveal the story of 1950s trailblazer, Lee Gordon. During his time, Gordon was the first to bring international stars to Australia to perform in his Big Shows, mostly staged at the Sydney Stadium. Among the 500 artists Lee worked with were Frank Sinatra, Bill Haley, Aboott and Costello, and Sammy Davis Jr.

MEET JEFF
Jeff Apter is a prolific music biographer, with over 30 titles on Australian music musicians. Jeff has written biographies on Daniel Johns, Jeff Buckley, Neil and Tim Finn, John English, Johnny O'Keefe, John Farnham, and the Gibb Brothers, just to name a few. Jeff worked for Rolling Stone Magazine, and has also ghost-written several memoirs of Australian music performers.
MEET RICHARD
Richard Glover is a much-loved journalist and author. He has published several hugely popular and entertaining books, including, Best Wishes, The Land Before Avocado, Flesh Wounds, and Love, Clancy. Richard has written a weekly humour column for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age for over thirty years, and he presents Thank God it's Friday on ABC local radio.
