Join Jersey City Connects for a 5.6 mile hike at Sourland Mountain Preserve.
THE TRAIL
The Sourland Mountain Ridge Loop is a 5.6-mile hike near Hillsborough, New Jersey. With about 600 feet of elevation gain, this moderately challenging trail winds through rocky terrain, quiet forests, and boardwalks over wetlands, with highlights like massive boulders at Devil’s Half-Acre and Roaring Rocks.

TICKETS
Transportation is included in the ticket price! Your ticket price covers more than just the hike; it also covers the essential fees required to keep our organization running smoothly. Your support allows us to continue organizing fantastic outdoor adventures for everyone.
SAFETY
Our team will carry a fully stocked first aid kit, including bandages, Advil, Benadryl, extra electrolytes, and motion sickness medication, to help ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable throughout the hike.

Water: At least 1 liter (e.g., 3 Poland Spring bottles)
Snacks: High-energy options like trail mix, apples, jerky, etc.
Trekking poles: recommended for stability

EVENT DETAILS
9:00 AM – Meet inside Le Cafe Coffee (444 Warren St)
9:15 AM – Depart for Sourland Mountain Preserve
10:15 AM – Arrive at the trailhead
1:45 PM - Finish Hike
2:00 PM - Head to Flounder Brewing
3:00 PM - Depart brewery
*Hoping to get everyone back by 4:30pm! This depends on our group pacing for the hike.
