    Event description

Jesse Witney to Perform at The Knoll Studio on October 5th.

The Knoll Studio is thrilled to host a special live performance by Jesse Witney on October 5th, offering both in-person and livestreamed options for music lovers.

Known for his soulful blend of roots and Brazilian influences, Jesse brings a humble and heartfelt approach to his music, creating an intimate experience that resonates deeply with audiences.

Jesse’s performances have graced major festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival and Splendour in the Grass, with his music featured on Triple J, Radio National, and Rage. However, it’s in live performances that Jesse’s genuine connection to his craft truly shines. His shows feature a unique combination of nylon and electric guitar mastery, harmonica, melodica, his own dance box invention, and live looping, all topped off with a voice often compared to Jeff Buckley and Paolo Nutini. Despite these accolades, Jesse remains grounded, focusing on the music and the shared experience with his audience.

Jesse’s passion for Brazilian music was sparked while studying guitar at Southern Cross University. A lecture from Doug DeVries, Australia’s leading Brazilian guitar specialist, led Jesse to immerse himself in this tradition, eventually performing across Brazil and recording his debut album Animal Cities between Brazil and Australia. His deep appreciation for both cultures is evident in his music, which brings a fresh yet familiar sound to his audiences.

Coming from a family with strong musical roots, Jesse’s lifelong connection to music is unmistakable. His parents produced the Imbil Folk Festival for over 15 years, and both his brother and sister are active musicians as well. These experiences have shaped Jesse’s humble approach to his work, where every performance is an invitation to connect with listeners on a personal level.

The October 5th performance at The Knoll Studio promises an unforgettable evening of music. Tickets for the in-person show are $30, while a broadcast-quality livestream is available for $15, allowing those unable to attend in person to enjoy the show from the comfort of their homes.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Jesse Whitney’s captivating performance. Whether attending in person or tuning in online, this is a night of music you won’t want to miss. Tickets are available now for both in-person and livestream options. Join us at The Knoll Studio, Mount Tamborine, for an evening of soul-stirring music.
