Paper Trail w/ Jessica Dorizac

Get offline and come play, making your own floating sculpture, co-facilitated by artists, Jessica Dorizac and Miguel Aquilizan, inspired by the artwork, Dahan-Dahan (Tread Lightly).

Under a canopy of kiping, you will be guided as you transition from flat concepts into multi-tiered, dynamic space. Utilising paper, building a colour and shape story, precision hand-cutting, and manipulating structural weight distributions.

Jessica Dorizac (she/her) is an artist whose work is currently informed by the language of ornament and design. Her practice attempts to navigate the multiplicities of place, identity and history, rooted in her own biracial experiences, and engages with the complexities of cultural identity through reframing cultural goods.

Dorizac is currently living and working between the land of Turrbal and Yuggera peoples in so-called Australia, and the Philippines.

This is a free event, and all are welcome to attend, engage and explore, respectfully.

ACCESSIBILITY: The gallery is wheelchair accessible from the Brunswick St entrance.
