Event description

With the 2025 Federal Election approaching, this is your chance to hear directly from some of the candidates in the Goldstein electorate. Join us for an engaging discussion on the key issues shaping our future.

📅 Date: Thursday, 3 April 2025

⏰ Time: 6:00 PM
📍 Location: TBA
🎟 Registration Essential | $5 Booking Fee (to cover security and venue costs)

This is a unique opportunity to engage with candidates, ask questions, and ensure the voice of our community is heard.

The evening will be moderated by Rebecca Davis (AIJAC) and Zeddy Lawrence (ZV).

Questions to candidates can be submitted during registration, or through a QR code on the night.

The goal of this forum is to help Jewish voters in Goldstein hear from the candidates most likely to represent them at the next election. At the time of organising, a Labor candidate had not been announced to contest the seat. If they are announced ahead of the forum, an invitation will be issued.

There are a range of minor parties and other independents contesting Goldstein and these candidates play an important role. However, we wanted to give the main candidates an opportunity to explain, in detail, their positions on the issues that are of most concern to local Jewish voters. The risk, if six or more candidates are featured, is that audience members only hear a few short soundbites from each person.

With the format we have chosen, we hope that this forum will be a productive and constructive opportunity for the incumbent MP Zoe Daniel and the former member, and current Liberal candidate, Tim Wilson, to share their vision for the Jewish community of Goldstein.

We ask all attendees be respectful and courteous towards all candidates and other attendees and to allow candidates to express their views and be heard without interruption.

Exact location will be advised prior to the event, please check your inbox/spam folder for the email.
