Do you work for a community organisation in South Australia and have participated in our Foundations training? 

Are you wanting to learn how to be more inclusive and accessible in the work you do in the community?

If you work in any roles across South Australian Community Organisations in any of the below sectors, this training is for you!

  • Sporting and recreational clubs

  • Arts and cultural programs/organisations

  • Community health and wellbeing

  • Informal networks

  • Emergency services

  • Any other community organisation in SA

Our Disability Inclusion Training - Next Steps is designed to equip Community Organisations with knowledge about intersectionality, practical tools to be an active ally, apply Universal Design principles, and lead meaningful cultural change in your organisation or community.

When: Wednesday 30th July 2025 9:30 – 11:00 am 

Where: Online via Teams (link to be sent two days prior to the event, to all registered participants). 

Key Topics:

  • Citizenhood Model & The Intersectional Approach

  • Role of Individuals & How to Be an Ally

  • Universal Design & Co-Design

  • Organisational Culture & Creating Effective Change

Key Learnings:

  • Understand how the Citizenhood Model reframes disability and inclusion, and how intersectionality helps us recognise the layered experiences of people with disability.

  • Learn how everyday actions and allyship can challenge ableism and foster inclusive relationships in workplaces and communities.

  • Discover how Universal Design creates environments that work for everyone, and how co-design ensures people with lived experience are at the center of decision-making.

  • Explore what it takes to shift culture, embed inclusive values, and lead sustainable change across teams and systems.
