Join us for an unforgettable night of jazz with the Jim Sullivan Jazz Septet, bringing together some of Australia’s finest musicians for one special evening in Dubbo.

Saxophonist Jim Sullivan leads this powerhouse line-up:

  • Greg Barker – Drums

  • Phil Stack – Bass

  • Aaron Blakey – Keys

  • Matt Davis – Guitar

  • Cathy Crossing – Clarinet & Saxophone

  • Guest vocalist Lana McLaurin

A special highlight of the evening is the appearance of Phil Stack. Widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading bassists, Phil is a founding member of ARIA award-winning band Thirsty Merc and a long-time collaborator with James Morrison. He tours nationally and internationally with his own projects and is celebrated for his artistry across jazz, rock and contemporary music.

Complimentary drinks, wine and nibblies as you settle in for an evening of jazz standards, swing, and soulful grooves. Concert will start at 7 pm, with drinks / nibblies available from 6.30 pm.

This concert shines a light on local talent through inspire&ignite, Studio 138’s creative development program for young and emerging artists. The program provides mentoring, resources and opportunities to showcase their work, building skills and confidence for future creative careers.

This is an incredible opportunity to hear world-class musicians in the intimate setting of the Blackbox Theatre.

The Black Box Theatre is located upstairs in the Community Arts rooms at the Western Plains Cultural Centre (corner of Gipps & Wingewarra Streets, Dubbo).
