JIMMY DOWLING

A storyteller who writes with the keen eye of a poet, blending the overtones of a jazz sensibility with simple structures. Jimmy Dowling knows the ropes. He is the kind of songwriter other great songwriters talk about. A musician’s musician.

His weathered perspective shows, as someone who has worked the land and sea with a keen interest in the untold corners of life. His musicianship forged by years on the road and in the company of both famed performers and the vagabond alike in Europe, Canada, North America, and throughout Australia, produces songs living somewhere between folk-blues, sea shanties and late-night jazz standards—spare, spoken, vivid, funny, melancholy and unmistakably his own.

Jimmy’s music has found its way onto several soundtracks, including acclaimed Australian movies Christmess (2023), Broke (2016), and Book Week (2018).

On the eve of his national tour for Don Walker’s Love Songs album release, Jimmy will be creating a compilation from his 7 previously released albums, one of which Don himself has played on, as well as a new album to be recorded soon.

GALLIE

Gallie, critically acclaimed Irish born singer-songwriter, storyteller, and accomplished visual artist, initially picked up the guitar as a teenager to navigate the city streets. Those early, gritty experiences provided him with a wealth of life stories that shaped him into a deeply expressive creator. Today, he shares his time living between France, Europe, and Kingscliff, New South Wales. His rich career spans over twenty years of professional music, fine art, and collaborative screen projects.

Gallie’s musical style blends his deep Irish folk roots with a soulful, Americana-infused storytelling tradition. Armed with an intense acoustic guitar style and a voice memorably described as "gravel and honey," he has been compared by critics to master songwriters like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, and Van Morrison. 

While primarily a musician, Gallie's evocative songwriting caught the attention of the film industry, leading to his music being featured on the soundtrack of the award-winning documentary series The Bikes of Wrath. He also stepped in front of the lens to portray the character of Lorcan—the recently passed older brother and fellow musician to the lead protagonist—in the Australian Irish musical drama feature film Almost With You (2026).

It’ll be a great night-a mix of locals and those curious, lovers of ballads, folk, story telling, and just being amongst other contemplative souls, listening in.
