Jobs Guarantee information forum
Event description
You’re invited – Jobs Guarantee Information Forum for Community Sector HR and Hiring Managers
Struggling to fill vacancies? The Jobs Guarantee may be your solution.
Come along to an online information forum/Q&A session on this new Victorian Government pilot scheme.
The Jobs Guarantee is part of a broader push to grow the community services workforce, and establish a more consistent flow of people from training into community services jobs.
Under this multi-year program, Diploma of Community Services graduates will be connected with relevant job vacancies in participating organisations.
Employers may be eligible to apply for funding to assist with recruiting, onboarding, supervising and developing new graduates who require additional job-readiness support.
We know that heading into the holiday season with unfilled vacancies can be stressful for employers. That’s why – for those who are interested and available – we’re offering an information forum and Q&A on the Jobs Guarantee before we close out the year, to help think about opportunities for early 2023.
The forum will include a short formal presentation from government representatives, before opening up for questions and comments from the sector. The forum is particularly targeted at HR managers and people in similar hiring and workforce development roles. It will provide an opportunity for attendees to find out more granular information about the scheme from government.
(Further opportunities to learn more about the scheme will be on offer from early 2023 onwards – including additional information forums and direct engagement with employers. You can also email vcoss@vcoss.org.au if you would like to arrange a separate conversation about the Jobs Guarantee).
We work towards creating a Victoria that is fair, just and inclusive. A society where nobody is trapped by poverty, and everybody is supported to live a life of wellbeing.
