Born in Ireland and based in Queensland, Joe Man Murphy is a

powerful Folk-Roots performer known for his storytelling, soaring

vocals, and instrumental brilliance. He’s played major festivals

including Woodford, National Folk Festival, and Palm Creek, and

was a guest performer with the Ukulele Death Squad.

Joe founded the theatrical folk band Gypsy Rumble, touring

nationally and writing shows performed at the Adelaide Fringe

Festival. As a long-time member of The Timbers, he co-wrote two

albums and toured extensively. Joe’s live shows are

immersive, emotional, and unforgettable — inviting audiences into

an experience of shared rhythm and story.
