Your Questions Answered by Joel Williams

Wednesday 21 October 2026 | 9.00am–4.00pm
Galloway Springs, Bridgetown

International soil and plant health expert Joel Williams is coming to Bridgetown for a full-day, grower-focused workshop at Galloway Springs as part of his 2026 WA Roadshow.

And this won't be a standard workshop with a fixed agenda.

You bring the questions. Joel brings the knowledge.

When you book, you'll have the opportunity to tell us what you'd most like Joel to explore – from a specific challenge you're seeing on farm to a soil, plant nutrition or farming systems question you've been wanting to unpack.

We'll share participants' questions and topics with Joel ahead of the workshop to help shape the day around what matters to the people in the room. And the conversation doesn't stop there – Joel is equally happy to take questions as they arise throughout the day.

A practical day at Galloway Springs

Hosted on-farm at Galloway Springs in Bridgetown, the day will combine discussion with the opportunity to get outside and explore some of these ideas in a practical farm setting.

A farm walk and field component will provide opportunities to see, discuss and question aspects of soil and plant health in practice, using the farm around us to help bring the conversation to life.

The day will also include catering by Galloway Springs, who are passionate about showcasing fresh, locally grown food. Expect a menu celebrating produce from the Southern Forests, including ingredients grown right there at Galloway Springs.

What could you ask?

The day is designed to follow the questions and interests of participants. Topics could include:

  • Soil biology and soil function

  • Plant nutrition and nutrient availability

  • Getting more from soil and plant testing

  • Soil amendments and inputs

  • Cover crops and diverse rotations

  • Nutrient-use efficiency

  • Building resilience to seasonal extremes

  • Soil carbon and organic matter

  • Integrating regenerative practices into existing farming systems

  • Pest and disease resilience through soil and plant health

  • Transitioning practices without compromising productivity

  • Or a specific challenge you're facing on your own farm

Come with a question you've been wrestling with, an idea you want to test, or simply a desire to better understand what's happening beneath your feet and within your plants.
