Event description

John and Andy like to enjoy life. They write songs and play music for the sheer joy of it, and their performances are a relaxed and entertaining affair full of good humour and impeccable musicianship. On this run of shows they will be playing a selection of songs from their acclaimed album Twenty Good Summers plus some new songs and a handful of music from other writers who have inspired and influenced them. John, who is acknowledged as one of Australia’s pioneers of flat picking bluegrass style guitar, will dig into some of that repertoire as well.

Andy is an exceptional singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist (guitar, drums, trumpet) from the NSW South Coast with five albums under his belt.

John Kane was a founding member of ARIA award and six time Golden Guitar winning band the Flying Emus and has a very successful career spanning over 40 years as screen composer, songwriter, musician and producer. These days he lives in the Southern Highlands of NSW.

In a review of Twenty Good Summers, music writer Sue Jarvis said “ I love this album. It’s warm, heartfelt and an absolute delight, and will leave you feeling absolutely fantastic”.

Performance starts at 2:30 PM. Doors open 2:00 PM.
