Do I need to bring a printed ticket to the event?

There is no need to bring a printed ticket. We will only require your name to verify your ticket place.

Is my ticket transferable?

If you would like to transfer your ticket to another person, please contact events@licc.org.uk.

Can I update my registration?

If you need to make amendments to your booking please email events@licc.org.uk.

What is the refund policy?

Tickets are refundable 1 week prior to the event. After that timeframe tickets are not refundable.

What is the photography policy for the event?

A lot of our events are filmed and have a photographer present. If this is the case, there will be signage at the venue and a designated seating area for anyone not wanting to be filmed or photographed.

Description

In this year’s John Stott London Lecture, Bishop Graham Tomlin will explore what it means to communicate and embody the Christian faith amid a world marked by uncertainty and change. He'll consider how the gospel speaks meaningfully to every sphere of human life.

The John Stott London Lecture is an annual event supported by LICC, A Rocha, Langham Partnership, and All Souls Langham Place. The lectures seek to reflect and exemplify the 'double listening' – to the word of God and the world around us – for which John Stott became known.

Graham Tomlin

Graham is the former Bishop of Kensington, founding Dean of St Mellitus College, and founder of the Centre for Cultural Witness, which merged with LICC in 2025. He is Editor-in-Chief for the Seen & Unseen website and its podcasts, co-presents the GodPod podcast, and runs the Communicating Faith in Public course. He spends far too much time watching football, and is married to Janet. They live in Oxford, and have two children and seven grandchildren.
Paul Woolley

Paul joined LICC as CEO in January 2021, having served as Deputy Chief Executive at Bible Society. He was previously the founder and director of Theos, the UK’s leading faith and society think tank. In addition to his background in theology, Paul has worked in parliament and in public affairs. He regularly appears as a commentator in the media, has a monthly column in Christianity magazine, and is co-host of The Whole Life Podcast. Paul is married to Ruth, and they and their four children live in Wiltshire where they enjoy getting into the great outdoors.

Imagine if every Christian lived the way of Jesus in everything they did, everywhere they went.

It would transform the people and places around them. It would change their organisations, communities, and societies – as God works in and through them, right where they are.

But most Christians tell us they have neither the vision nor the tools for the task. That’s where LICC comes in. We’re working to catalyse a movement that empowers Christians to live as disciples of Jesus in daily life.

We’re here to help people know God more deeply, and bring his wisdom, grace, and truth to the things they do – at work, at college, and at home; in the pub, the shops, and the gym; on social media, in the office, and out with friends.

We work with individuals and churches, partnering with organisations and networks across the denominations. We delve into the Bible, think hard about contemporary culture, and listen carefully to God’s people, exploring the challenges and opportunities they face.

What we learn shapes what we do: resources, events, training, articles, books, films, stories, and more – all designed to encourage whole-life discipleship.

Jesus calls people into a movement of hope that will bring life to every human being and the entire planet. Today, the need for disciples living out that hope day by day is as great as ever. We’re working to engage over a million Christians with this whole-life vision.
