Total Environment Centre (TEC) is an independent, non-profit organisation committed to the protection of nature in Australia and to advancing the sustainability of society. Established in 1972 by trailblazing Australian environmentalists, we have worked on more than 100 successful campaigns that were evidence-based, collaborative, and effective. This includes saving over 10,000km2 of forest from destruction, encouraging energy efficiency law reform, and spearheading the implementation of a container deposit scheme across Australia. More recently, we have been coordinating a campaign for the protection of koalas in the Sydney Basin bioregion, including developing an evidence-based policy to address deficiencies in the existing legal framework.
