Joint Platform and Te Whatu Ora | Health New Zealand Mental Health and Addiction International Recruitment pilot webinar
Event description
This webinar co-hosted by Platform and Te Whatu Ora will provide mental health and addiction NGO and community providers an opportunity to learn in-depth about the mental health and addiction international recruitment pilot being run by Te Whatu Ora, and what it can offer your organisation.
This webinar will be of interest to organisations already accredited with Immigration New Zealand, or those wanting to get support to get accredited and will focus on the services you can access for free.
We encourage you to have your human resources or recruitment staff attend as it will provide valuable insights about the support you can get to recruit health professionals from overseas.
Te Whatu Ora intend to have one of their Licensed Immigration Advisers join the webinar and a recruiter with international experience. This will be a great opportunity to hear from them and to ask questions.
About the mental health and addiction international recruitment pilot:
If your organisation is publicly funded for mental health and addiction services through Vote Health, you can access free resources and support from Te Whatu Ora, in partnership with Te Aka Whai Ora and Immigration New Zealand, to recruit internationally.
As part of the mental health and addiction international recruitment pilot, the recently established International Recruitment Centre is being extended to mental health and addiction NGO and community providers. The intention is to work with you and help you fill vacancies with experienced mental health and addiction professionals from overseas, while efforts to train more people in Aotearoa continue.
Services currently available include:
- Free advertising of vacancies on Kiwi Health Jobs (an international jobs site)
- The benefits of the international “Make a difference somewhere different” campaign
- Advice for becoming an Immigration New Zealand accredited employer so you can recruit people from overseas
- Access to immigration advice for employers and tailored visa support for candidates
- A dedicated recruitment consultant and registration support for candidates
- Cultural competency support
