One of Australia’s finest, now Nashville-based Jordie Lane returns with his most energetic work to date, ‘Habitual’, his 5th Studio Album.

ABC Country Radio Australia calls his music a “masterclass in songwriting,” while Americana UK describes it as “sophisticated and immediate.”

Jordie Lane has spent his life weaving between the road, the stage and the recording studio. A distinctive voice in indie-roots, Americana and folk, Lane is known for inventive songwriting, raw production and a restless approach to making records.

He has toured with artists including Billy Bragg, The Moody Blues, Gotye and Old Crow Medicine Show, and performed at major festivals across Australia, North America and beyond. His music has earned four-star reviews from Rolling Stone, The Music and the Herald Sun, a Double J Feature Album of the Week, and widespread international acclaim.

Lane’s 2018 album Glassellland was recorded in Airbnbs across Los Angeles, following his 2011 desert-motel recording Blood Thinner in Joshua Tree. His 2024 album Tropical Depression, released through ABC Music/The Orchard, reached #1 on the ARIA Country Albums chart.

A guest on Australian TV shows, ‘Spicks & Specks’ and ‘Rock Wiz’ singing a duet with Grammy Winning US artist Mary Gauthier, Jordie was also invited to perform Triple J Radio’s coveted ‘Like A Version’ withfellow Australian & Milk Records artist Jen Cloher, playing MGMT’s hit ‘Electric Feel’.

Alongside his recording career, Lane is an accomplished composer, producer and engineer. He has composed original scores for film and television, including SBS documentary Spirit Walker and composed all the music for ABC Television’s 2023-25 Seasons of Mother and Son, as well as writing and producing music for national and international advertising campaigns.

Lane continues to blur the boundaries of Indi Roots and folk and Americana. While being known by many fans and musicians worldwide for his cult classic song “Black Diamond”, he still flies under the radar for most, and remains a hidden gem for those in the know!
