Jordy Stitt Quintet
Event description
This performance will feature old and new original compositions by Jordy Stitt. Influences for the music vary quite wildly and include (but are not limited to): grandparents, sailing, video game development, arborists, mayflies, inner voices…The quintet features a cast of incredible Brisbane musicians, being Ben Oldham on trumpet, Ashley Hutton on tenor saxophone, Connor Perkins on bass and Chris Evans on drums. We’re very excited to share some original music with you.
Jordy Stitt is a Brisbane pianist and graduate of the Jazz Music Institute, where he teaches piano. He’s an in demand sideman and a member of upstanding local bands Méva’s Journal and Melody Graves and the Hokem Redemption.
