Joseph S. Fairburn (Band) ~ 5 Church St, Bellingen/Gumbanggyirr Country

Local singer-songwriter Joseph S. Fairburn presents an earnest amalgamation of his inner and outer worldly experiences through a journey of metaphorical and Earthly lyricism. Rambling through melodic movements of dynamic fingerpicking, and storytelling that presents the ponderings on the ways of the world, the unseen and the yet to be unveiled. 
Joining him on stage will be a band of merry mystics featuring Zac Mukgrrngal, Otis Lyons, Oscar Eager, Ben Demole and Tom Tuohy to hold down the grooves and weave the tapestries together presenting an infusion of Sax, Flute, Keys, Trumpet, Bass, Drums and Vocal harmonies.

Bridging old and progressive styles of folk, country, rock and blues to behold an adventure of familiarity yet unique in it’s expression, conjuring a visceral experience for the audience in the intimate space of 5 Church Street, Bellingen.

Opening up the evening will be the delightful and angelic sounds of Karuah. His ethereal folk beckons the audience into the ambience of inner silence. Be sure to get down early.

This performance is on Gumbanggyirr Country, sovereignty has never been ceded. With deep respect for our local Gumbanggyirr people, it’s an honour to create music on this land.
