Josh Hooke: Piano
Event description
Joshua Hooke was simply electrifying in his concert at Wesley in 2024, gaining a spontaneous standing ovation. We just HAD to have him back to thrill again. This time he will play Mozart: Fantasia in D minor, Beethoven's Sonata No. 13 in E-flat major and his much loved "Moonlight Sonata" (Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor), before finishing with a ravishing selection of preludes by Rachmaninoff. Originally from country Victoria, Joshua completed a PhD in Music Performance at the University of Melbourne, under the guidance of Professors Ian Holtham and Paul Kildea. In addition to performances throughout Australia, Joshua performs regularly in Europe and the UK. He has performed at many of Australia’s leading concert venues including the Melbourne Recital Centre, Hamer Hall, and City Recital Hall. We are excited that he now includes Wesley of Warragul in his performance circuit!
