Join us on a journey to Cuba with Cuban-American socialist Danny Valdes in conversation with Indypendent Editor-in-Chief John Tarleton about Danny's cover story for the February Indypendent. We will also take audience questions.

Danny Valdes's mother and grandparents fled to Miami following the Cuban Revolution. In October, Valdes returned to his homeland for the first time as a proud socialist and as a member of an international delegation that met with top Cuban officials. He also saw up close how the country's socialist system approaches health care, education, combating climate change and expanding LGBTQ rights while also finding time to visit his ancestral home and make sense of his family's tormented history.
