joy & whimsy weekend bonanza

Join us May 16th-17th for a weekend long affair ! 

May 16th is a group local art exhibition launch (from 6pm) in the loft soundtracked by Jeani

May 17th is an afternoon to night affair (4pm-12am) with bands - Kisses (Naarm), Baby Cool (solo), Naaki Soul, Plainer, Katy L. Bedford and Lake Kelly. The exhibition will be hard launching upstairs, yummy food from Will, and a meat tray raffle !!!!! (+ veg box raffle)

May 18th is a cute day of markets, roughly 10am-3pm. It will be a well rounded mix of local artists, hobbyists, side hustles and second hand clothes/knick knacks, soundtracked by Tiny Little Bug (Sunday is free entry, donations welcome!)

Joy&whimsy is an event series based on the unceded lands of the Jagera and Turrbal people in Magandjin. May 16th-18th is a weekend long joy&whimsy bonanza in collaboration with echo & bounce - a community-centric affair, a place for connection, conversation and multi modal art. This series has a focus on queer & femme mixed-genre musos in so called australia with an emphasis on safety, respect and zero tolerance for anti-social behaviour 

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Jagara and Turrbal people, and all First Nations people on these lands. May your sovereignty never be ceded, and may we move gently as these lands remain a place for connection, gathering, community, art and care. We acknowledge the ongoing resistance to colonisation - always was always will be aboriginal land.
