Gospel Choir Showcase
ComMUSICation's Summer Gospel Choir will present a joyful repertoire of songs rooted in the Gospel tradition, showcasing what youth have learned this summer!
Description
Joyful, Joyful is the final showcase of ComMUSICation's summer Gospel Choir Camp, and it is the performance our youth have been working on all month to share. Our Gospel Choir is joyful and full of energy, and all are welcome. You don't need any particular background or belief to feel it. As co-director Traiveon shared, "at the end of it, most of it is about love, and caring for one another."
Before the showcase, at 5pm, we are hosting a short behind-the-music presentation where staff leaders share the story behind Gospel Choir Camp and why it matters to the young people in it. This is your (optional) chance to see more of what we do and hear directly from the people who lead it. The showcase itself will begin at 5:30.
When you pick your ticket, you will see two options: the showcase on its own, or the showcase plus the earlier behind-the-music session. Whichever you choose, we would love to have you in the room celebrating the end of summer with us!
Location & Parking Note:
While the church's address lists Summit Avenue, we ask that you use the entrance on Portland Avenue, on the opposite side of the building. There is a free parking lot located across from this entrance that you are welcome to use, and free street parking is also available.
