JAM! Reading Group
Description
Join the JAM! Reading Group meeting 6:30pm on the last Wednesday in each month beginning April 2026. The JAM! Reading Group focuses on books written by Aboriginal, First Nations and authors exploring impacts of colonialism. JAM! collaborates with the Footscray Library who provide a venue, refreshments and books for our members to read on a monthly basis. Co-convened by Jelena Vicentic and Hannah Hofmann.

How to Register & Costs
By selecting Register you will be asked a range of questions and which books you would like to read with JAM!, including format preferences. We invite you to make a $5 donation for each book you select and Donate the total amount. You are welcome to participate even if you are unable to donate. All donations go to Reading Group administration/events and First Nations' causes related to literacy.
Book Collection & Return
Please join the Maribyrnong Library - it's free! Your membership card can be in the Library App or hardcopy. Library membership will allow you to collect your books, including in digital formats (if available). Book availability dates are shown next to each book. You can return your books directly and collect your next book following the relevant Reading Group meeting.
Book Purchase
If you would like to purchase your own copy of a book from our Book List, contact The Chestnut Tree bookshop who is offering a 10% discount to JAM! Reading Group members.
Note: Any changes to convenor, books, venue will be notified to Group members. You will be invited to join a WhatsApp group to communicate with convenors and share other relevant matters. Meetings may be conducted virtually if circumstances require.
