Julia Child loved Santa Barbara, and enjoyed cooking with the bounty of our farms. In this Julia-inspired class that takes place during the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience, participants will follow Julia's recipes, enjoy a delicious meal with fine French wines, and of course have fun!

Join us for a hands-on cooking class where you will learn to create Julia Child's herb-roasted whole chicken. The meal will begin with a farm-fresh salad and simply divine vinaigrette dressing, and end with a Julia-inspired crepe cake with fresh berries. Ingredients will come from local farmers. The class is limited to 12 participants to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to learn techniques and tips at each stage of cooking the meal.

We will dine al-fresco and enjoy our meal paired with French wines. 

Please wear close-toed shoes, as we will be in a commercial kitchen.

Bring a wrap or jacket for outdoor dining. In the event of inclement weather, we will dine indoors.

Refund policy

We offer a full refund within 24 hours of any purchase. We also give full refunds if we have to cancel a class due to low enrollment. These policies supersede any policies below. If you cancel at least 3 days before a class or camp session begins, we can offer a full refund, minus a 15% processing fee or a credit for a future class with no processing fee. A class or camp “session” is defined as a group of classes that are signed up for as one package. As an example, a session may be 8 weekly classes, or 5 days of camp. The 3-day cancellation deadline refers to the first day of the session. Once a session has begun, no refunds are available.
