July Holiday Programme-Nelson Intermediate

STEAMS is an integrated approach to learning topics of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths, and Society that fosters critical thinking, problem solving, communication and collaboration. Its aim is to teach real world skills through engaging methods whilst allowing individuals to be creative. 

STEAMS Holiday programmes follow the same principles. These courses are designed for 8+. The CO2 Drag Race cars is for ages 12+

Nelson Intermediate- 7-11 July

MON-TUES and THURS-FRI

Drag race CO2 cars. Given a basic block of wood, students must design and build a car that is powered by a CO2 cartridge. MON-TUES is designed for 9-11 year olds while THURS-FRI is designed for age 12+. This is sure to be a FUN workshop!

Aluminium Flowers and Engineering Challenges-this workshop is designed for youth to use cans to create art, primarily flowers but it could be lots of different things! Students will also be challenged to think on their feet while outwitting others in engineering/thought challenges.

WED
Robocup Jr.!!! Robocup Jr is for those youth who are creative story tellers, builders, engineers, and/or coders. In teams of 4, youth will write a script, design and build a set, design and build costumes, and code robots to perform their skit! This is a fun creative day!
