About the Speakers
Piers Grove is an Australian entrepreneur, investor, and advocate for impact-driven businesses. As the Executive Director of StartSomeGood and Rocket Seeder, and the cofounder of EnergyLab and Boomerang Labs, he has been instrumental in fostering social enterprises and sustainable startups. With a background spanning clean energy, media, and venture capital, Piers is committed to supporting initiatives that drive positive social and environmental change.
Michelle Vu is the Investment Manager at LaunchVic. With responsibility for managing a portfolio of over 40 early-stage ventures, Michelle provides financial analysis, reporting, and advisory support to the executive team and board. A qualified CPA, Michelle has a wealth of experience in corporate financial services, including roles in management accounting, financial planning, and fund analysis. She is deeply committed to impact investing, is an active angel investor and mentor to founders and emerging VCs.
Adam Skan is the Investment Manager at Impact Ventures, an independent investor in early-stage, high-growth startups focused on scaling environmental solutions. They partner with and support leading startup accelerators focused on climate tech, ocean health and circular economy. Adam has spent most of the last 6 years supporting founders at EnergyLab, and has facilitated over $5m of investment into more than 50 impact startups on behalf of angel investors.
