July Meditation + Talk on Dependency, Addiction & Mindfulness

Price FREE Get tickets

Event description

Do you know someone with a form of dependency or addiction, which can include alcohol and social media?

Modern studies show mindfulness practitioners are able to change neurotransmitters in their brain to reach a more balanced and harmonious level.

As such, it has been found that meditation and mindfulness can be an effective tool in reducing all kinds of addiction. Learn a skill for life in this meditation session, or brush up on your own practice.

Lan-Hoa Lê, a Specialist Anaesthetist and Calm-Abiding Meditation Teacher, will lead this special talk following a guided Calm-Abiding Meditation practice.

Beginners and more advanced practitioners are welcome. Cushions and chairs are available at the venue.

The entry is free, but donations are welcome to help us continue to offer classes and workshops, and periodically invite Tibetan Buddhist teachers to give teachings.

You are welcome to stay afterwards for a cuppa and chat, and if you can, please bring along something to share for morning tea. We look forward to seeing you there!
