Keynote Speaker:

Dr Danijela Mirosa, Director of Commercialisation Strategy at Biointelect
Dr. Danijela Mirosa brings 20 years of experience across the biotech, biopharmaceutical, and healthcare innovation sectors. Holding a PhD in Biomedicine from the University of Melbourne and an MBA from Melbourne Business School, Dani has a deep understanding of the drug development process gained during her time as a Senior Scientist in Biotechnology R&D at Amrad and CSL Limited. Her expertise spans the product lifecycle from scientific research to strategic and commercial leadership. In her early career, Dani spent 12 years leading successful product launches and commercialisation strategies in large multinational biopharma companies across various therapeutic areas and funding environments, including numerous first-in-therapy area launches across diverse therapeutic areas, including Oncology, Haematology, Immunology, and Rare Diseases. This included Country Leadership Team roles in Strategy & Operations, Patient Services, and as the Franchise Director for Oncology at Takeda for the Oceania Cluster. More recently, Dani has worked with start-ups and emerging companies in the fields of digital health tech, patient engagement, and AI-powered precision medicine, supporting business case development, refining marketing and commercialisation strategy, and exploring new market and geographic entry opportunities. Dani has joined Biointelect in 2024, with her diverse skill set and experience across the full spectrum of the life sciences industry,she is well-positioned to provide strategic guidance and support to Biointelect's clients as the Director of Commercialisation Strategy.
Industry Expert Panel:

Dr Patricia Vietheer, Senior Director of R&D Strategy & Planning at Biointelect
Dr. Patricia Vietheer has 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry, specialising in the commercialisation of early-stage technologies and product development. She holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Monash University and an MBA majoring in Strategy and Planning from Deakin University. Throughout her career, Patricia has worked in diverse sectors, including academia, start-up companies, medtech and biotech, across various disease areas and technology types. She also contributed to numerous granted patents, co-authored multiple scientific publications in peer- reviewed journals, presented at numerous national and international conferences, and earned multiple awards, including the NHMRC Dora Lush BioMedical Award, the Australian Defence Force Prince of Wales Award and the Australian Centre for HIV & Hepatitis Virology Young Investigator’s Award. Patricia joined Biointelect in 2019, initially leading the R&D Strategy and Planning team. She is now the Senior Director of Strategy, Marketing and Business Development, leading numerous projects in commercialisation strategy, business case development, planning and execution for key clients, including universities, research institutes, government, start-ups, and pharmaceutical, biotech and medtech companies.

Professor Michelle McIntosh, Director of Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) at Monash University
Professor Michelle McIntosh is the Director of Monash University's Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) and has led expansion and growth of the Centre since its inception in 2017. As the Centre Director, Professor McIntosh plans and implements strategy and future directions of the Center including investigating ways to expand capabilities, opportunities to leverage funding, and opportunities to maintain the continued growth of MMIC. Her additional responsibilities also include lecturing in pharmaceutical science Director of the HMST Analytical Laboratory and Leader of the Drug Delivery, Disposition and Dynamics (D4) Theme at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (MIPS). Professor McIntosh has extensive experience in commercial negotiations and a successful track record of partnering with global philanthropists, companies and foreign and domestic government entities. Professor McIntosh completed her PhD degree at Monash University with a research focus on the delivery of poorly water-soluble drug molecules and understanding of how they are transported in the body within plasma lipoproteins. She then undertook a post-doctoral fellowship in the United States at the Center for Drug Delivery Research (CDDR) at the University of Kansas for seven years before she returned to Monash University as a lecturer and research leader. CDDR is an institute sitting at the interface of academia and industry and focuses on the commercialisation of university-based intellectual properties.

Anmol Sekhon, Digital Transformation Lead at CSL Seqirus
Al is a seasoned pharmaceutical and biotech marketing professional with over a decade of experience in launching products, developing go to market initiatives, and establishing reimbursement strategy. He has previously worked across sales, marketing, market access and digital roles across pharmaceutical and biotech organisations. His experience crosses multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, respiratory, cardiovascular, and metabolic conditions. He is passionate about driving change across the industry through a customer centric approach led by user experience and agile thinking principles.
