Topic: Human Centred Design in Public Sector Practice; an action research approach

Rodger Watson, co-author of Designing for the common good and Course Director of the Creative Intelligence and Strategic Innovation suite at the University of Technology Sydney, TD School will share the latest thinking from his research on public sector innovation and the role of HCD in Public Sector Practice. The last 10 years have seen Human Centred Design enter into public sector practice in a significant way, but what is the true potential of Human Centred Design? Can Human Centred Design in Public Sector Practice lead to a new discipline area?

Rodger will share a live case study from The Netherlands where the nexus of Human Centred Design and Public Sector Practice is at the centre of the government’s response to the Nitrogen Crisis. He’ll also give an overview of the new TD School at UTS, including opportunities for partnerships and capability building.

We’ll also run through other community announcements.
