June Dinner Meeting Environment Month
Event description
SI Beenleigh dinner meeting, topic focus for the dinner will be Environment Month. What we Do, How we Do it, Why we Do it.
Eagleby Wetlands is home to a flourishing bird population, this vast reserve is a natural habitat for over 200 native bird species, who thrive in the ponds, mangroves and marshlands.
Elder Aunty Freda & Aunty June are both from the last of the Bird Tribes (which are the Feathered Serpents descendants of the goanna dinosaurs). They will tell us how important it is to maintain this eco system for all of us and generations to come.
We also would like to help the Aunties with their project in supporting homeless young mums with newborns. They are looking for good second-hand baby clothes, so if you want to help, bring your donations to the dinner and learn more about this project.
