Junior Production | GRIMM
Event description
After months of preparations and rehearsals, we are delighted to invite you to the Junior co-curricular production of GRIMM.
Performed by an ensemble of Years 7 to 9 students, GRIMM, is based on a play by Tim Supple, which tells six German folk tales collected and compiled by the Brothers Grimm, first published in 1812. You may know these stories, but our version of the tales is much stranger and darker than the "Disney" versions you may have grown up with.
Our play is aimed at young people (aged six and over) but also appeals to adults. Actors explore and experiment with non-naturalistic performance forms and play people, animals, and even objects. We use movement, music, masks, and puppetry to bring the dark, funny, and magical world of these tales to life for a modern audience.
