'Just A Farmer' Film Screening

Surf Coast Shire Council invites you to join us for a community event acknowledging International Men's Day from 5pm - 8pm, Friday 20th November at the Globe Theatre in Winchelsea.

Just A Farmer is a powerful Australian film exploring the challenges and triumphs of life on the land. Created to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding mental health, the film offers an opportunity to reflect on the importance of mental wellbeing, particularly in rural communities.

The evening will feature special guest Damian Walsh-Howling, a cast member with strong family ties to the Surf Coast Shire. Along with the screening, there will be time to enjoy food and refreshments while connecting with others and continuing the conversation around men’s mental health and wellbeing.

This event is inclusive to all across the community, we invite women, men and gender diverse people of all ages to join us as we celebrate International Men's Day 2026.

The venue is accessible for wheelchairs, hearing loops and noise cancelling headphones are also available upon request.
