As a region, we’ve been through so much.
From fires and floods to the quiet personal battles many face behind closed doors — our community knows hardship, but also resilience, strength, and the power of coming together.
Join us for an evening that honours all of this.
Just A Farmer is a powerful, independent Australian film that explores mental health in rural communities with raw honesty and hope. Written and produced by Victorian mother, teacher and farmer Leila McDougall, this story has touched hearts around the country. Leila will be joining us in person to share her journey and take part in a Q&A and panel conversation following the screening.
This is more than a film. It’s a space to reflect, connect, and continue important conversations — with care, community, and compassion.
Please note: This event contains themes of mental health and loss. It may bring up strong emotions. Support professionals will be present on the night, and you will be held in a safe and respectful space.
Your ticket includes:
Screening of the feature film Just A Farmer
Q&A with filmmaker Leila McDougall
Panel conversation with local voices
Community supper (light refreshments provided)
