The Roller Hawks are Wollongong’s elite wheelchair basketball team competing in the National Wheelchair Basketball League. The Roller Hawks have won seven championships overall since their inception in 2001.

In addition to competing at the elite level, the Roller Hawks and Illawarra Wheelchair Basketball promotes inclusion for all people with a disability through development pathways, school visits and community days by using sport as a great rehabilitator for injury and illness. The team is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, with all sponsorship and funding channeled into keeping the players on the court and competing against the best throughout the country.
