About the trainer:
Simon Hackin is an experienced trainer of natural construction techniques and skills. Recent projects include the construction of the community-led self-build "Bridgend Bothy" at Bridgend Farmhouse, Edinburgh.
While this is a paid event, we want to remove financial barriers, so to make it more accessible we also have a sliding scale donation option, where you can choose what you pay based on your personal circumstances.

Currently, our main entrance and toilet are not wheelchair accessible due to a steep ramp and narrow doors and turning spaces. We apologise for these barriers to access. We are applying for funding to carry out capital improvements to the workshop that will make the space more accessible for our users. We are committed to continually improving the accessibility of our spaces and invite you to contact us directly on hello@edinburghtoollibrary.org.uk if you would like to discuss specific requirements or need any support planning your visit. Within the workshop space we have a number of aids to help improve the quality of your time spent with us. These include: a hearing loop, gripping aids and height adjustable bench seats.
