Just transition: an evening of film, food and conversation
Event description
You are invited to come together for an evening of film, food and conversation on just transition. A just transition recognises that climate action and social justice are interlinked and need to be tackled together.
Ensuring the transition to net zero is fair and makes people’s lives better, is a challenge for Bristol and beyond (as well as an opportunity). Join us to connect with others and share your own dreams for a just transition over some tasty vegetarian food.
We’ll be screening a series of short films and hearing from the creatives behind them, including:
- Capsule: a short film by Euella Jackson creatively exploring the theme of a just transition.
- The making of Capsule: hearing about the community engagement events Euella held to understand what a just transition means to others in the city.
- Addressing disability and climate change in Bristol: showcasing Emma Geen’s forum theatre event exploring the barriers to Disabled people using buses, and potential solutions.
This event is free to attend, but please reserve a space and let us know if you can no longer make it, as numbers are limited.
We are dedicating this event to Disability and Climate Activist Laura Welti who passed away recently.
The event is kindly supported by the National Lottery Community Fund and Bristol City Leap.
