K.A.H.A. (Kaha Aha Hoha Aroha) | Half-day Webinar
Event description
A new SSPA learning and development initiative, co-developed and facilitated by Kaharawa
K.A.H.A. is a tikanga Māori strengths-based training programme designed specifically for social service organisations, built on kaupapa Māori principles of Āhurutanga, Kaitiakitanga, Whanaungatanga, and Wairuatanga, enabling participants to gain an insight of Te Ao Māori and enhancing kaimahi capacity to work alongside tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.
The programme covers:
- Developing kaimahi skills to positively engage with whānau in a mana-enhancing way.
- Growing confidence in foundational tikanga and te reo Māori.
- Learning fun de-escalation and stress management techniques that are grounded in mātauranga Māori and Atua pūrākau.
The positive, non-confrontational approach to the K.A.H.A. programme welcomes all into a Māori paradigm of whakapapa, offering an opportunity to deepen understanding of kaupapa Māori well-being and gain quick, practical tools and takeaway resources to promote and support hauora.
