    Kaarla Circle - Birthing a new 26th January by gathering around the kaarla (fire)

    The Kaarla Circle is a space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people can come together to share their voice about January 26th. Expression of Aboriginal peoples' experiences, hopes, ideas and more are welcome. As it’s a potent day to pause and listen to the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, anyone who identifies will form the inner circle. The inner circle are welcome to speak, share, be held and be witnessed in  this space.

    The outer circle will comprise of other citizens of Australia who have deep respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and acknowledge January 26th as being a day that perhaps should not be classed a national day of celebration. The outer circle will hear and witness the stories and sharings of the inner circle in silent dahni (deep listening).


    The Kaarla Circle will be held on Zoom - details will be sent to you. There will be NO replay or recording.

    Price: $0 - $200 - please select the amount that feels possible for you. All proceeds (less booking fee) go to Children's Ground.

    This gathering is co-created and held by Louise O'Reilly (a Warrwa-Noongar woman) and Clare Foale (a white woman of Irish descent) as an expression of our grief, hope and the change we want to see.
