Event description

Scots Kāhui Raukura Group invites you to attend their preview screening of KŌKĀ at Penthouse Cinema Brooklyn on June 18, with raffle tickets available for purchase.

KŌKĀ captures the spiritual journey taken by kuia Hamo (Hinetu Dell) and a young woman Jo (Darneen Christian) in an old Ford Falcon heading towards Hamo's whenua (homeland) in a journey of healing, community and reconciliation.

This is a fundraiser for our Scots Senior School Māori cultural group Kāhui Raukura to enable the purchase of Kapa Haka Kakahu (uniforms), which will enhance our Kapa Haka Performances and ability to represent Scots College at local, national, and international Pōwhiri. 

Date: Wednesday 18, 2025
Time: Arrive from 5pm, for waiata at 5.30pm, followed by a 6pm screening
Location: Penthouse Cinema, Brooklyn
Cost: $25 per ticket
