Kalyāna Meets: Gil Fronsdal
Description
"One of the things that kills Bhuddist life is excessive seriousness" - Gil Fronsdal
We are tremendously lucky to be hosting Gil Fronsdal for the second installment of the Kalyāna Meets series. Gil is among the most respected teachers in the west today. His teaching, writing and scholarship draws on 50 years of practice in the traditions of Sōtō Zen and Insight Meditation, as well as a Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from Stanford. We are particularly inspired by his emphasis on the role of kalyāna, which he translates as ‘the beautiful’, on the path to liberation and peace.
