Kambarang Rising – A Spring Ecstatic Dance

As the wildflowers awaken and the earth bursts into colour, we gather to dance into the freshness of spring.

An invitation to shed the heaviness of winter, to stretch open like petals to the sun, and to let movement carry us into renewal. Guided by a wave of rhythm — from deep earthy beats to soaring melodies — we’ll explore the joy of emergence, expansion, and vitality.

In the turning of the seasons, we stand between Djilba and Kambarang — the cool time of growth giving way to the great unfurling of wildflowers, colour, and abundance.

This is the season when the land blooms with brilliance, when new life stirs and the air carries the fragrance of transformation. It is a time to shed the old layers, to awaken our senses, and to dance ourselves open to possibility.

Through rhythm and breath we journey together — feet upon the earth, bodies in bloom, spirits rising like the blossoms of Kambarang. Each movement is a prayer, each beat a celebration of renewal, each dance a remembering of our connection to Country and to each other.

The Dancing Dhevas community is a group dedicated to dancing with passion and authenticity, there is no talking and yet so much is communicated on dance floor. Dance your dance as no one else can do it for you.

No right or wrong and no set moves, open up to a world of possibilities beyond your imagination, with you, the dance floor and great music.

6:30 to 9pm, DOORS SHUT at 7:00 no entry after then.

Bring a water bottle, turn off phones and remove shoes before entering the dance floor.

FIRST TIME TO DANCING DHEVAS...
Dancing Dhevas is a free form dance practice that invites you to engage in life as only you can, to move with such authenticity that it liberates the bubbles of ecstasy.

Conscious dance is a process of delving into your own individual, original dance, it is so unique to you and how you move that it can not be reproduced by anyone else. This gives us the freedom from constraints and judgements so we can explode our potential to move until it unleashes the dancer within. The room takes on a different energy as everyone drops into their dance and natural ecstasy is reached.

Come as you are or bring a friend, we share a dance floor of like minded souls who move as one and celebrate life in all its complexities in the moment.

Bring drinking water and a sweat towel.

We dance bare foot so we can open and ground our feet, the roots of our dance.

No talking on the dance floor, verbal chatter distracts you and others from this active meditation, if you feel you must talk take it outside of the hall.
